Amazon Observations 2

Welcome to the second of my posts containing some somewhat random observations that I have observed while working for and at Amazon.  Once again, I will not be giving out much company-specific information, and I am still not yet the general manager.

1. Pallet Jockey would be a cool job title.
2. There are way too many advent calendars.
3. A Playmobile NHL hockey advent calendar?  Does society really need this?
4. My Little Pony is still around and producing products.
5. Unicorns vs. llamas - is this a thing?
6. Despite the overabundance of streaming media, physical media (CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray, etc.) is not going away any time soon.
7. Vinyl is still real.
8. Cabbage Patch dolls are still being produced.
9. Pallet Wrangler would also be a cool job name.
10. Semi trailers are larger on the inside than on the outside.
11.  Many of Amazon's box sizes sound like the names of vitamins.
12.  Fire trucks and ambulances here in Texas have green lights, in addition to red and orange and white.
13. Board games are not going away any time soon.
14. The number of Clue variations is getting out of control.
15. Unicorns vs. Llamas Monopoly?  Does society really need this?
16. Pallet jacks are fun to use.
17. Aurora makes some very nice stuffed animals.
18. There is an old radio drama show whose only sponsor was "prayer."
19. Bob Hope was the host of one of the show's episodes, encouraging people to pray.
20. There are pallet jacks, and then there are pallet jacks.
21. Philips Norelco, why do you pack 100 units in 50 small boxes of 2 each?  Wouldn't it be better to pack 100 units into 2 larger boxes of 50 each?
21. How is emoji nail polish different from regular nail polish.
22. There are about 22 bazillion brands of watch band for the Apple watch, and most of them look very much like all of the other brands - and they probably mostly come from the same factories.
23. Apparently there is a market for skins for wireless ear buds cases.
24. Pound Puppies are back in production.
25. Who buys dried sea cucumbers?
26. Who would buy a Bob Ross face toaster?
27. A Batman logo toaster I can understand - but Bob Ross' face on your toast?
28. What is snow juice?
29. The Pallet Jockey might be a good name for a tv show or series of movies.
30. A lot of companies are still copying Apple's designs.
31. Think about it - our hero would be a mild-mannered pallet jockey who solves mysteries in a warehouse setting.
32. Amazon's automated processes require A Lot of manual human labour.
33. It's challenging to run an entire half of a floor with only one pallet jack.
34. VRC stands for, "Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor.

Catch ya on the flip side.
